A single barrel is one cask, bottled exactly as it was found. Nothing blended in to round it out, nothing to average away a rough edge. Whatever happened during the time in cask is carried into the bottle - that is the beauty of a single barrel. It is also why most casks never go out this way.

BDX250302 was filled in March 2025 and pulled nearly twelve months later, in March 2026. The name is its history written plainly: Bordeaux, March of ’25, barrel number two -'250302'.

The cask itself came from Château Pape Clément in Bordeaux and was already on its third life with us. Two batches of our Héritage Blanco had rested there before it. By the third fill, there was less wine and less barrel to speak of. What remained of the barrel was subtler: a little structure, a little softness & roundness, and enough room for the agave to say what it wanted to.

The result is remarkably elegant. Cooked agave and citrus arrive first, followed by black pepper, mint, dried herbs, and some roasted agave sweetness. The barrel adds texture and a hint of vanilla and peach. The finish is long and unmistakably agave-driven.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
